Setting up bulk email default templates in SFM

How to set up Default Email Templates in SFM

Available from version v2.0.11.152 onwards.

SFM has the ability to save default email templates, complete with text and signature, for every type of document available in the system. The user can either use the text in the default template provided, or they can write or amend it as necessary.

This feature is compatible when SFM is setup as SBS Mail or Microsoft Outlook.
This can be set from Current Year > Utilities > Company Maitnenance > Additional Details.

Users can view their saved default templates by going to Administration > Mail Templates. The saved templates will be listed in the top box.

Adding a Default Email Template

To add a default template for a transaction type, e.g. Sales Credit Note:
  1. Select a client from the Sales module that has such a transaction.
  2. Click on the 'Transactions Details' tab and select the transaction.

  3. Click on the Print icon and choose 'Re-Print Document'.

  4. In the next box, click 'Mail'.

  5. Close the resulting email screen.

  6. Go to Administration > Mail Templates. A new entry will display in the template list with the email template displayed in the email preview section.
