Backup & Restore from Live to Test company data

It's important that there are no users using the system during the process.
- Log on to the Live Data Company.
- Go to Administration > Backup.

- Press BROWSE to save the backup to a destination path you prefer.
- Select Company, then press Backup. To back up attached documents too, select Company & Docs.

- Once the Backup is done, log in the Test Company.
- Go to Administration > Restore.

- Press Browse and select the backup file you've previously saved. Select Company to restore the company data, or select Docs to restore the attached documents along with the company data. Make sure to select the correct company from the 'Company Data To Restore' dropdown.
- Press Restore.

- The system will ask if you're sure you want to restore the archive. Press Yes.

- Next, the system will detect that the Backup previously taken was that of a different company to the one you're trying to restore, and will ask if you want to continue. Press Yes.


IMPORTANT: Make sure that the company you're restoring is on the TEST DATA

If the system warns you that the directory is in use, it's important to inform all users to log out of the system, should this persist, kindly speak to your IT Administrator in order to access the server and assist to identify the users still logged in.
