2024

SPOS | v.3.0.62

Release Date: 8th February 2024

Enhancements
  1. Tablet users can now record debtor payments.
  2. Withdrawn Items are now automatically hidden in the Quick Search.

Fixes and Improvements
  1. TSPOS now supports the Cashlogy interface.
  2. The POS Reconciliation report in SIMS has a new option to report only confirmed reconciliations.
  3. You can now paste the stock code in the Quick Search field again.
  4. Location Quantities are now shown as expected when using Quick Search.

SPOS | v.3.0.61

Release Date: 11th January 2024

Enhancements
  1. We have included free qty (stock qty - on s/order) in the bottom part of the Tablet Ordering System's grid screen.
  2. The ordering screen now has the unit price displayed, together with the total order value.
  3. If no [Loc From] is specified in the Admin > Comp Maint, the user can select the [Loc From] during the posting of "Location Transfer Request".
  4. We have added new columns for [Colour] and [Size] in the Stock Cards view.
  5. The border colour on each item has been changed as follows:
    1. Red: the client never purchased the product.
    2. Yellow: the client purchased the product more than x days ago.
    3. Green: the client purchased the product in the last x days.
      The X number of days can be configured from Admin > Company Maintenance. The default for this is 30 days.

Fixes and Improvements
  1. The log-off process is now faster than before.
  2. Reporting and displaying items with client-contracted prices have been improved in the Tablet Ordering System.
  3. The Excel template generates as expected during location transfers.
  4. The user cannot use [FAST CASH] or [F11] buttons without having permission for the secure function CS_FSTCASH.

2023

SPOS | v.3.0.60

Enhancements
  1. The Cash Sale grid can now show when a scheme is applied.
  2. The Tablet Ordering System is now showing negative Free Qty in red.
  3. Users of the Tablet Ordering System are now allowed to view the image in a larger size when selecting from buttons.
  4. You can now include the following fields in the receipt layout:
    1. VAT rate (line)
    2. VAT amount (line)
    3. Total VAT amount (footer)
  5. The TRUST interface now caters for longer Merchant IDs of up to 24 characters.

Fixes and Improvements
  1. Users can now enforce a full sync of images from SIMS to POS.
  2. The Tablet Ordering System now allows the user to change quantity if the setting for 'multiple stock units' is enabled.

SPOS | v.3.0.57

Enhancements
  1. When posting Sales Orders, touchscreen buttons can now display an image and caption.
  2. Touchscreen buttons in Sales Orders can now display an image of the Stock Card.
Fixes and Improvements
  1. It is now possible to open one sales transaction screen at a time, so as to avoid inheriting items from another sales transaction already open in the background.

SPOS | v.3.0.56

Enhancements
  1. We have implemented a warning on reaching the file size limit in TSPOS data, along with an alert to the user to prepare to archive.
  2. When the POS workstation's disk spare is low, a warning will now be given so as to avoid any losing any cash sales.
  3. When asking the user to enter a filename when saving a .PDF, the POS will now show the transaction reference as the default (eg. CS99999901.pdf).
  4. The POS can now interface with a new cash management device from Cashlogy.
  5. The Customer Display now shows BCRS charges.
  6. We have introduced data transfer throttling for POS sales and POYC transactions when the EMVS  module is enabled.
Fixes and Improvements
  1. Sales cannot be made from a location marked as ON HOLD, as expected.
  2. The POS will no longer ask for batch/expiry date when posting Location Transfers that include items with MODE = BOTH FIFO.
  3. Only items on scheme are printed in bold on the POS receipt.
  4. The total on the Customer Display refreshes as expected when deleting items from a bill.

Fixes and Improvements
  1. The column for 'Points Available' in Support > Customers is displaying as intended.
  2. We have adjusted validation checks to be carried out before the payment screen, so as to avoid issues when interfacing with the ePOS machine.
  3. When the user is prompted for the client's payment method (Payment Methods screen), and a customer pays in part with a voucher, the voucher amount will be deducted first, followed by the cash amount. The system will then prompt the user to choose whether to issue the change as a new voucher or to give change instead.
  4. We fixed a conflict between the EMVS module and the Aures printer controlling the cash drawer.
  5. The correct customer VAT registration number is printed when re-printing the Cash Sale.
  6. In EMVS, barcodes with a double <GS> delimiter are being processed correctly.

  1. During a Cash Sale, items with a scheme applied are now not affected by the client discount.

EMVS enhancements

  1. EMVS 2.2 now provides you the ability to display EMVS decommissioning alerts and messages directly in the Cash Sale screen, improving the visibility of important EMVS alerts to you.

Enhancements

  • This version of SPOS (and SIMS 3.0.21) has been updated with a new EMVS notification system that provides decommissioning alerts and warnings. Now, the systems produce clear warnings on the statuses of the EMVS-related products (packs) processed through your SPOS and SIMS.

    The SPOS update includes visible alert texts in the new notification panel located in the bottom-left corner of the application window and an enhanced auditing system in the form of the Notifications page. Learn more here.

  • The system asks for you to input an access key that can be acquired by Shireburn support in order to configure credit card payment types in your system.

  • Pack sizes are now shown as a read-only field in the Quick Search window.

  • Store orders include Model label to denote the shelf from which the item was picked up.

 

Fixes and improvements

  • A pop-up that requests a patient ID card number at the POS level when making a POM sale is no longer mandatory.

  • Selecting a price or choosing a manual price for an item with no selling price (all zeros) works as expected SPOS on tablets.

SPOS | v.3.0.26

Enhancements
  1. A new option to disable the accumulation of loyalty points for certain marked products has been added to SPOS. The Non-loyalty option is found in Support > Stock Cards > Other.
  2. UI improvements made to the location transfer request page. The tag and tag all buttons were overlapping in some instances.
Fixes and improvements
  1. We fixed an error reading "String is too long to fit" when executing Take Away cancellations.
  2. A "DISCVALUE" error when redeeming points has been fixed. You should no longer see this error following the redemption of points.
  3. We have improved the loading times of the product list. 
  4. Two-line chits calculate each line item separately as expected.
