How to create Access Levels in SFM
After enabling access level security controls for SFM, you
can create access levels for your company's SFM installation. This will be done
in the Administration > Access Levels window. After creating
Access Levels, you will then be able to configure the levels of access they
will have, such as access to view transactions, nominal postings, sales
postings, and purchases postings.
To create Access
Levels in SFM, go to Administration >
Access Levels. Insert a new record
and enter a code and description for the Access Level. Click
Save to confirm the changes.

Tips for creating Access Levels
To
help you with creating an Access Level, consider
which ledger or postings window the user will primarily use. For example,
if a sales clerk only needs access to view transactions and have access to
nominal and sales postings, create an access level coded as SALES and described as Sales posting. You can then configure
the permissions for this Access Level, such as permissions to view
transactions, post nominal entries, and post income entries in your Groups
& Permissions window.
The image above illustrates examples of Access Levels.
Please consider your own company’s needs. These above examples are not
definitive for all use cases.
After creating Access Levels, you can configure permissions
for them in your Groups & Permissions page before assigning them to your chart of accounts.
