SIMS Search Functionality

To access the search function in any SIMS Grid:
  1. Navigate to any Grid (we are going to use Support > Stock Cards as an example).
  2. To enable the search function, simply press any letter key on your keyboard.  
  3. The search function will then become visible, as illustrated in the screenshot.

 
  1. To search specifically in a column, you need to press on the Header.
  2. Once clicked on the Header, just start typing your search using the keyboard.
  3. When typing the Search immediately shows you the result
  4. Note when using the Basic Search, you need to type the exact code (including spaces).


  1. You can change to Advanced Search by pressing on the Search button, a button labelled PMB will appear. 
  2. Switch back to Basic Search by pressing the Search button again.


After switching to Advanced Search, clicking on this button has three subcategories:
  1. Partial Match at Beginning: This option will start searching even if you do not enter the whole word or text.
  2. Partial Match Anywhere: This option will show results if the entered word is recognized anywhere in the text, not just at the beginning.
  3. Exact Match: This option requires you to enter the exact word to search for it.
