Setting up a Percentage Allocation

How to set Percentage Allocation in SFM

The Percentage Allocation functionality in SFM allows you to split an entry into two or more different Nominal accounts automatically allocating this by percentage which is setup by the user.

Setting Up Percentage Allocation

  1. Create a Nominal account in your Chart of Accounts.
  2. Go to Support > Percentage Allocation.
  3. Select the Nominal account just created and select the Percentage Allocation tab.

  4. Insert a new record and add one of the Nominal Accounts where it should be split.

  5. Set a split percentage, and then click on Post.
  6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 until a total of 100% is reached.

Whenever a journal entry is posted into this nominal account, SFM will automatically split this into the accounts selected in the percentage allocation depending on the percentage setup.
