Creating and Updating Contracted Prices in SIMS using Excel
Scenario 1: Adding a new contracted price for an existing client
- Go to Support > Clients and choose the client.
- Click on the Contracted Prices tab.
- Press + or 'Insert' on the keyboard.
- Enter the stock code and choose a fixed price or discount for the item, then save.
Scenario 2: Adding a new contracted price or prices for multiple clients
- Go to Support > Clients and choose a client.
- Click on the Contracted Prices tab and then click I. This brings up all clients' contracted prices.
- Click on the grid's menu and select 'Generate Microsoft Excel template'.
- In the resulting Excel template, fill in the required fields (Client, Stock Code, and either Selling Price or Discount) for as many new items as required.
- When the Excel sheet is ready, import it back into SIMS using 'Import from Microsoft Excel' in the grid's menu.
VIMP: The above method must be used only for new contracted prices.
Updating Contracted Prices
Amending Contracted Prices
- Go to Support > Clients and choose a client.
- Click on the Contracted Prices tab and then click I. This brings up all clients' contracted prices.
- Click on the grid's menu and select 'Export to Excel'.
- Update the discount and/or selling price.
- Import the file back into SIMS using 'Import from Excel' in the grid menu.
- The specific item or items will now be updated with the amended price or discount.
IMP: To make changes to specific items, select all the fields except the replic id when exporting to Excel. If you leave out any of the required fields (see list under 'Fields to Export' below) and import back to SIMS, the original record will remain unchanged and a new record will be created instead.
If you export current contracted prices without the TranNum column and import the file back with changes, the system will create a new record instead of making the change.
How do I delete a record?
There are three ways to delete a record.
Option 1: Highlight the record and use the 'Delete' key on the keyboard.
Option 2: Enter a past date in the 'Date To' field for the item and then click Delete Expired Items. To add the 'Date to', enter the date you require after exporting to Excel, and then import the sheet back to SIMS.

Option 3: Use the 'Range from' and 'Range to' fields to select specific items and then press Delete Current View.
